The functions of the current WinCC Open Development Kit ODK V7.5 option can be used within the WinCC OS environment.
Limitations
There are certain limitations when using some functions on the PCS 7 OS. More information on the functions affected can be found in the PCS 7 documentation.
Compatibility
The current ODK V7.5 version is based on WinCC V7.5.
Applications created in debug mode can only be executed if the corresponding debug DLLs are installed on the computer.
Picture Tree Manager renamed to Picture Tree
The "Picture Tree Manager" editor was revised for the version WinCC V7.5 and renamed "Picture Tree".
The ODK port was not hereby changed. The information of the online help for "ODK Picture Tree Manager" also applies to the new "Picture Tree" editor.
Restoring edited samples
If you want to restore individual files or complete samples after changes, you can copy these parts directly from the CD, from the "Samples" catalog.
ODK functions which are not available to certain users
The following ODK functions are not available for users with standard user rights of Windows:
CreateDatabase
DatabaseAttach
DatabaseDetach
